Kempas is a heavy hardwood brittle but suitable for heavy indoor purposes such as heavy duty parquet flooring. Kempas has a strong resistance to acids and other chemicals and is a good choice if such properties are required for flooring. Staining and polishing produce good results. Finishing produces a rather attractive and bright orange red color.
